DDL Groups Involvement

Engie Fabricom have been appointed EPC Contractor for a project to provide a Wood Chip Acetylation Plant at Saltend Chemicals Park, Hull.

DDL Group have been appointed as the civil engineering contractor for the project by Engie.

Tricoya Technologies Ltd (TTL), Tricoya acetylated wood elements (including chips, fibres and particles) is a revolution in modified wood fibre technology. Tricoya is widely recognised as the gold standard for high performance wood elements which can be used in the manufacturing of external use panel products opening up new markets.

The application of acetylation technology to wood ingredients for use in a vast array of wood composite end products is set to create new, high performance solutions that will inspire creativity and confidence and open up new markets for manufacturers.

The new design and application possibilities offered by the marriage of acetylated wood elements with other materials is set to excite and stimulate composite manufacturers, designers, architects and the construction industry alike, opening up new possibilities and solutions.

TTL and its subsidiary Tricoya Ventures UK Limited (TVUK) is embarking on a project to build a plant at the Saltend Site, Hull, UK for the dedicated manufacture of Tricoya.


As a rapidly expanding business, we are always looking to increase our workforce as well as continually train existing staff.

As a minimum, all staff must hold CSCS cards, although we are able to assist you with these, should you not have them already.
